The Sad State of a Watched Society - 11 Ways You are being Watched
Incrementally we are being taught to accept as normal being spied on in our every move. These are violations of the 4th ammendment! Why is this not open for true discussion?
The standard answers we’ve been given are all ridiculous excuses and have been intelligently placed as a talking points to make you feel bad if you don’t agree and to be parroted back to us over and over. The truth is that if you are being watched, you are a slave already. That our friends and familes around us have repeated these insanities word for word is very alarming and proof positive of true mental programming.
- "Well I’ve got nothing to hide so I’m not worried" - At some point everyone will do or has done something they’d rather not have everyone see. Just because you don’t want to be spied on doesn’t mean you have done anything wrong. It means you don’t want to be spied on.
- "It’s because of 9/11" - Much of this technology, like the many draconian laws that have been passed since, had already been worked out and created before then.
- "It’s there to help you, not spy on you." - As recent history has shown, these technologies have consistently been used against us.
- "You don’t have to use it if you don’t want." That may be so, but most of the alternatives have been or are being phased out (aerial tv) and some of these items are mandatory (cameras). The iron hand is in the velvet fist.
Here are just 11 examples of the egregious catastrophic spying going on all around you.
- Google already knows what’s in your emails and where you are surfing as of course do Yahoo, MSN and others. Recently Google announced at the bottom of one of their patents that the very mic attached to your computer can be activated by them and you could be listened to so that they can "better serve you with targeted ads"
- Onstar in your car is listening to you. The Feds might have recently lost a lawsuit, but when that has not stopped them from using this and other similar technologies. Lojack traces your car or laptop with it’s GPS unit.
- The government can turn on your cell phone and listen to you. The only way around that is to take the battery out. You might as well, since it has been shown in many studies to basically help fry your brain. The constant updating from the cell towers to your phone is harmful and you might want to make sure to keep that phone out of your pocket. You’ll also notice the lack of alternative phone options (ie phone booths) in the streets.
- Your every cell and local phone call are being analyzed as are your computer habits by keywords.
- For years records have been kept on your driving patterns (GPS, Smart Pass Toll Cards).
- Your viewing habits are being surveilled and records being kept from all cable companies.
- Your surfing habits are completely known and have been stored for years by all the major Internet and ISP companies.
- All your files on your computer are being stored by programs like Google Desktop search.
- Cameras both hidden and in view going up on every corner even in sleepy little towns.
- Cameras in school children’s bathrooms!
- Everything you buy online at companies like Amazon is kept forever in their records. Every book you take out in the library is recorded. If you use a supermarket "discount" card your evey food item is recorded. If yoiu purchase itmes with a credit card from anywhere the same is true.
?? 12.Comcast Sr. VP Gerard Kunkal - March 18, 2008 at the Digital Living Room conference has said that Comcast is already experimenting embedding cameras into DVR boxes. They have been testing out cameras in DVR/Cable boxes that can watch you. They claim it is to help the user experience and target programming.
Comcast has since alleged that it is more akin to a remote as is used by the video game Wii - please see the comment below that they responded to this and other blogs with. So this one is possibly "#12". I added other ways you are being watched to item to #11. In reality there are hundreds and hundreds of ways you are being watched from face scanning cameras to two way mic and camera devices that feed directly to the "companies". It is a sick and twisted grid of insanity where we’re taught to share everything online. Just look at sites like Myspace and Twitter for the obvious truth which stares us in the face.
UPDATE 2
Since Comcast has responded to the original posting at newteevee.com, the original poster has responded to Comcast to clarify the conversation he heard.
Here it is:
Hi Mr. Kunkel,
Just to further clarify. After you granted me our initial video interview, you brought up the topic of Comcast knowing who was in the living room in a conversation between you, myself and another conference attendee.
I actually left and came back to follow up on this point while you were talking with that same attendee. At this point, you were aware that I was a reporter and I took handwritten notes in front of you as we talked to make sure I had an accurate accounting of what you were saying.
I’d love to talk further with either you or someone else at Comcast to follow up on this story.
